Alcatraz was the most famous prison in the world. Today, it's a tourist attraction. Every year, about one million people visit Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay. It takes just fourty five minutes by ferry from San Francisco. Nowadays the island is a national park and tourists can go on guided tours of the old prison.
